Why We Don’t Oversize Portions & Why Our Fans Love It

Hey there, it’s Jonathan from Taco Monster. I wanted to share a bit about why our portions are the way they are and how our values shape every decision we make.

Over 15 years ago, I was over 100 pounds heavier than I am today. Back then, I loved big portions and all-you-can-eat buffets. But I started to see the negative impacts of overeating and decided to make a change. That journey taught me a lot about balance and how what you eat can make you feel, both physically and mentally.

That experience has a big influence on how we build our menu at Taco Monster. We focus on meals that taste great and leave you feeling good, not weighed down. Our goal is to offer options with balanced portions that you can enjoy without regret.

Quality Over Quantity

We know some people think bigger portions mean better value, but we see it differently. For us, value is about what goes into each taco and how you feel after you eat it.

That is why we build our menu around fresh ingredients and balanced portions instead of piling on fillers just to make things look bigger. We’re not trying to be a health food restaurant; but, we do care about serving food that doesn’t leave you regretting your choices.

Small Tacos, Big Variety

We hear feedback that our tacos are “too small,” especially our Beef Cheddar Crunch taco, which is designed for kids. However, parents tell us all the time that they like the smaller size for their kids, less waste and easier to handle.

Beyond being kid-friendly, smaller portions let you try different flavors without overdoing it. Our guests may enjoy 3 or 4 different tacos instead of just 2 if they were larger. We have a variety of adventurous flavors for you to explore that will be more filling than you might expect.

Why We’re Not the Cheapest Option

If you’re looking for the biggest, cheapest meal, Taco Monster might not be your spot, and that’s okay. We’re not trying to suggest that wanting large portions is bad, but simply pointing out that if that’s your priority, we might not be the right fit.

Our goal is to be a premium fast-casual restaurant with a focus on flavors you can’t get anywhere else. This goal doesn’t always translate to the lowest prices, but we believe it’s worth it.

How you feel after your meal matters more than just getting a lot of food for a low price. That’s why we focus on quality ingredients and balanced portions.

Feeling Good About What You Eat

At the end of the day, our goal is simple: we want you to feel good after eating at Taco Monster. From our ingredients to our atmosphere, everything is about making sure you leave satisfied, not regretting your choices.

We know our tacos aren’t for everyone, and that’s fine. For the people who love what we do, we’re glad to have you as part of the Taco Monster community.

Thanks for reading. Whether you’re stopping by for dine-in, take-out, or just to grab a sticker, we can’t wait to see you.
